7th European-Israeli Workshop on “Materials for and by Optics”
UCBLyon1's Library (Bibliothèque), December 8-9, 2010 Villeurbanne
French-Israeli Workshops are held since 1988 alternatively in Lyon or Jerusalem: Jerusalem 88, Lyon 93, Jerusalem 96, Lyon 99, Lyon 02, Jérusalem 06, mainly in co-operation between the LPCML Laboratory of the UCBLyon1 (France) and the the Chemistry Laboratory of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Chemistry Division, Nuclear Research Centre-Negev of Beer Sheva in Israel. The 7th workshop will be enlarged to European countries and will be named:
7th European-Israeli Workshop on “Materials for and by Optics”
Lyon on 8-9 December 2010 in the same time as “Fête de la Lumière”.
This workshop attracts usually researchers and PhD students not only from Israel and France but also from Europe, Japan and USA. The participants come from major universities, national laboratories and leading industries. A number of mutual research projects were formed between the participants of different countries after the previous ones.
The Workshop will encompassed the up-to-date ‘hot’ research topics on materials for and through optics at the interfaces of physics, chemistry and now biochemistry. Growths, structural and optical characterizations of both nanostructures and bulky luminescent or/and nonlinear materials together with the design of novel materials will be considered.
The contributions will be divided into oral and poster presentations.
